Tours & Experiences have arrived at Drive Otago!

 

All packages are inclusive of everything in the description, as well as fuel, insurance and GST. You have the option to reduce the insurance excess with an additional fee - (see at bottom of page)​

2-3 Hours

Makarora Return Drive

  • Your pick of a BMW 1M, M3 or M6.

  • This includes a drive along the scenic road between Lake Hawea and Makarora.​

  • A stop in Makarora for a refreshment and the chance to swap cars for the return.​

  • We then head back along the road in the opposite direction to see an entirely different perspective of both Lake Wanaka and Lake Hawea with surrounding mountains.

3-4 Hours

Crown Range/Kawarau Gorge Loop

  • Your pick of a BMW 1M, M3 or M6.

  • This includes a drive along the scenic road between Lake Hawea and Cromwell to Highlands Motorsport Park.

  • We then head back through the Kawarau Gorge, through the Gibbston Valley vineyards and over the Crown Range road back to Lake Hawea.

  • The option to then swap vehicles at the Crown Range summit.

  • A stop at the famous Cardrona Hotel for a refreshment (no alcohol can be consumed unfortunately).

5-6 Hours

Highlands Track Laps Breakfast Run*

  • ​Your pick of a BMW 1M, M3 or M6.

  • This includes a drive along the scenic road between Lake Hawea and Cromwell to Highlands Motorsport Park.

  • 2 Laps of the racetrack (behind a pace car).

  • Breakfast and coffee/tea included.

  • The option to then swap vehicles for the return drive.

  • We then head back through the Kawarau Gorge, through the Gibbston Valley vineyards and over the Crown Range road back to Lake Hawea.

 

*only available on selected Sunday's of each month.

*this is only run on dry weather days and will be refunded or switched to an alternative experience if the weather is wet.

Drive Otago Crash Cushion

Should you damage the vehicle in any way, including in an accident, there is a maximum $5000 excess payable to Drive Otago. This can be reduced to a maximum excess payable of $1000 by taking out our Drive Otago Crash Cusion for an additional $125.00 per booking of Tours & Experiences.
